JohnWithHorseMaps for Hospitals, LLC began operation in June 2009. The President, John Rush, has over 25 years of project management experience, fourteen of which are in the health care industry. John has visited over 300 hospitals all over the United States experiencing first hand the need for an affordable and effective map. Maps for Hospitals designers also have years of experience in designing maps specifically for hospitals.

Mr. Rush decided to start a new mapping company because of the strong need to help patients and  visitors  get to their appointment or department as stress free as possible. “I have traveled all over the United States and visited many types of medical center campuses. I have seen the need for an affordable map that works. I know Maps for Hospitals can create a map that fits your needs and budget.”

Mr. Rush also saw that hospitals wanted to print their own map and use the individual map files for other uses. “We design maps that can be used for several different purposes. We offer the Illustrator files to our clients so they can use the images for other purposes. Of course we are always available to revise and update the maps when needed.”

Mr. Rush lives on a 20 acre horse farm in Walland, TN with his wife, horses and cats. John received a B.S. from Maryville College, with a degree in sociology and psychology and a minor in business. After working two years for the National Park Service, John went on to complete a M.S degree in City and Urban Planning at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. John has always been interested in how people function in a built environment, and he now applies that interest into making Maps for Hospitals.
